Not much news at
all really - I'm such a boring old fart. 'The Show' on Afan FM seems to
be going pretty well, Han & me have challenged each other for 39 weeks
in 'He v She'. It's probably our favourite part of the show to be honest
and we take it far, far more seriously than we should! Basically we go
head to head at a challenge each week, and whoever wins gets to choose
the last song of the show. It really is an insignificant prize, but
we're really competitive about it. Looking back at some of the
challenges, they prize of playing a song really doesn't seem worthwhile!
The first challenge was to see who could eat a jar of baby beetroots the
fastest - and then drink the vinegar in the jar. I was happy not to win
that one to be honest! I think sacrificing a song in exchange for not
drinking beetrooty vinegar was a calculated move. We've also shot each
other in the bum with my BB gun from across the studio, played Wii
boxing, Guitar Hero, seen who could eat dry readybrek the fastest, how
many sit-ups we can do in 30 seconds, we've done quizzes, TV theme tune
challenges, seen how many times we can throw a basketball into a bin
across the studio in a minute, stood on chairs in the studio and fought
with inflatable pugel sticks like in TV's Gladiators...that actually got
a bit serious, but we had a referee who gave the win to Han - despite me
knocking her stick out of her hands, and when she knelt on the chair to
get it, she stayed kneeling down - which I didn't think was very fair! There
are a bunch more things that I can't remember too; but as of this week
as I'm writing this, The score is 10-20 to Hannah. I really need to win
a whole lot more of these to make the score interesting again - I'm
really lagging behind! Han took the first challenge, but then I managed
to take quite a healthy lead in the early weeks of the game. If you
fancy suggesting a challenge for He V She (preferably something that
I'll do well at), then you can email the radio station if you copy and
paste this address - studio@afanfm.co.uk - put 'Adam & Hannah - He v She
suggestion' in the subject line. |
